ALL
new arrival coldwater fish goes through our unique acclimatising
systembefore been transferred to the mainholding ponds. After the
temperature has been equalised, the bags are then opened & the
fish released into holding baskets. Water from the holding systems
is then pumped around the acclimatising system and allowed to mix
slowly to give the fish time to purge their bodies of the toxic
levels of ammonia & nitrite that have built up during transit.
This process eliminates as much stress as is possible for the fish.
Since the introduction of this system we have seen significant improvements
with the fish within the first 24hrs following importation.
