DO's and DON'Ts
&
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

1. The water does not have to be used within a certain period of time.
2. It can be stored in the containers it is supplied in.
3. Keep the lid securely fastened when not in use.
4. If the water has a slight milky appearance this is quite normal and not to be of any concern.
5. The water can be used for Tropical Freshwater or Cold Water and Pond fish. It is not suitable for Marine Fish.
6. The water supplied is a standard mix for use with the majority of fish. Variations on the mix are available for fish requiring an addition of salt such as Mollies and Guppies, or a softer mix for some wild caught species. A full list of the various mixes are shown on our stock list.
7. The water can be used to set up new tanks or added to existing tanks through water changing. Large water changes on existing tanks is not advised as this may make large changes to the chemistry in the tank (whether it be good or bad) that could stress the fish. Remember any fish surviving in a poor quality water would have acclimatised to it, if this is changed too quickly problems could occur, so slow gradual changes are advised.
8. The water should not be mixed or watered down with any other source water. It should be used as instructed as it is supplied. Mixing other waters will impair the benefits to be gained and also add unknown problems that may exist in other waters. This will defeat the whole object of using the pre made water.
9. Pre heat the water to the desired temperature before adding it to your tanks.
10. Use the premade water as you would use your old water for water changing and topping up, adding it directly to your tanks, gallon for gallon.
11. Always check the pH, GH and KH before and after water changing, this way you can monitor your tanks to obtain the optimum results.
